The Microsoft Research AI & Society Fellows Program invites applications from adequately qualified candidates with the goal of fostering research collaboration in the field of artificial intelligence between Microsoft Research and distinguished academics and specialists.

Multidisciplinary AI research is supported in the context of societal impact through the Microsoft Research AI & Society Fellows Program. Through the initiative, fellows in disciplines other than core computer sciences can participate in multidisciplinary research with Microsoft Researchers.

Fellowship for Microsoft Research AI & Society | Requirements for Eligibility

In order to be eligible for the Microsoft Research Fellowship, candidates need to fulfill the essential prerequisites:

• Be a distinguished academic in an area and discipline other than computer science who is prepared to participate in a range of multidisciplinary projects centered on important research issues.
• Candidates must hold their terminal degree in their chosen field or study and be actively pursuing it (enrolled in a program) or have already completed it.
• Excellent research skills and a willingness to work with others outside of their profession are requirements for applicants.
