Dr SID is from Delta State but was born and raised in Lagos. His mother is a fashion designer and his father, Justus Esiri, an actor. His father was a Member of the Order of the Niger (MON) and is known for his role as the Village Headmaster a Nigerian sitcom popular in the 1980s. Following a fall out of the partners at Mo’ Hits Records, D’banj and Don Jazzy, Dr SID has since signed on to Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records.
