The Best Introvert Side Hustles and Shy People

Posted by: || Categories: Guides

Are you looking for the best shy side jobs?

Many side occupations, like driving for ridesharing services, working for food delivery services, or selling at flea markets and yard sales, require in-person contact.

For an introvert like me, this may be difficult!

However, many online side businesses, like survey-taking, pay only a few dollars and aren’t very lucrative.

This article covers the best introvert-friendly internet side gigs. I’ve tried all of them as an introvert and made money from them.

The best side occupations for introverts are:

1. Blogging

How could I make this list without blogging?

One of the best side gigs for introverts is blogging. I wrote an entire blog post about why introverts should blog.

The idea is that bloggers,

You can make money doing what you love by blogging, especially if you like writing about your passion.

2. Pinterest Virtual Assistant

I also did this great side gig for introverts.

A Pinterest virtual assistant manages clients’ accounts. Clients include bloggers, internet entrepreneurs, and brick-and-mortar business owners looking to expand online.

Pinterest virtual assistant roles may include:

This job is perfect for introverts because it doesn’t need much socialising and you can work from home in your pyjamas!

3. Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing is related to blogging, but you may do it as a side career without a blog.

Using affiliate links for products you mention in blog posts is affiliate marketing. When someone hits your affiliate link and buys, you get a commission.

However, affiliate sales are possible without a blog. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, and others allow affiliate links.

My favourite form of marketing is Pinterest affiliate marketing, where I can make over $500 a month just pinning links!

If you use Pinterest often, making money from pins can be advantageous. If you have a following on Instagram, you may enjoy affiliate marketing there.

4. Self-publishing

Writing is your passion, and self-publishing ebooks may be lucrative! Even without writing, you can generate money by publishing “low content” things like calendars and notebooks.

You can publish on your blog or website or through Amazon’s Kindle Direct Publishing.

I sell ebooks on my blog because I can control them and charge more. I passively make thousands of dollars a month with multiple ebooks. Amazon takes a cut, so you can’t sell ebooks for as much.

I recommend selling ebooks on your site with a simple e-commerce platform like SendOwl for a bigger profit!

5. Freelance Writing

Other writing side gigs include freelance writing.

Freelance writing has been fun, although I haven’t done as much as the other side businesses on this list. Why are introverts good freelance writers?

Starting with textual correspondence, you won’t need to see customers in person.

Freelance writers can work from home in their pyjamas, which is flexible! If you like writing but would prefer work with a variety of clients on different topics than establish a blog, becoming a freelance writer is a great option.

A freelance writer can make a solid livelihood, especially if they specialise in health or personal finance.

CONCLUSION

Here are some of the best side gigs for introverts!

I’ve tried most of these, but blogging is my favourite.

I started my blog as a side gig in college to make money, then I quit my day job to focus on it.
