The Nigerian Immigration Service: Recruitment Update

Posted by: || Categories: Jobs

The Nigerian Immigration Service is urging people to be wary of fraudulent job offers.

The public has been warned by the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS). People are being warned to be wary of false job offer letters for posts inside the service, especially those who have applied for jobs or are considering doing so.

In a statement issued from Abuja on Wednesday, the Service’s spokesperson, Deputy Comptroller of Immigration (DCI) Dr. Adedotun Aridegbe, addressed this issue.

Important Information:

  1. Official Website: The NIS Official Recruitment Portal is the only legitimate website where job offers for NIS positions can be obtained. Applicants must check in using their registration information and phone numbers in order to access these letters.
  2. Beware of Fake Sources: Dr. Aridegbe emphasised that you should be sceptical of any employment offer letter that doesn’t originate from the official portal since it could be a scam.
  3. According to Dr. Adedotun Aridegbe, Caroline Adepoju, the acting Comptroller General of NIS, is aware that con artists are making phoney employment offers to trick people into thinking they are being recruited for NIS.

Significant Aspects of the Statement

Always verify the validity of any message you receive regarding a job offer. It’s probably weird if it seems strange.

Real Information Sources:

Dr. Aridegbe advises that you should rely on the NIS’s official channels if you seek accurate updates or information regarding its operations:

In conclusion, it’s critical to exercise caution and knowledge in the digital age. It’s important to exercise caution since con artists always come up with new strategies to deceive people. You can avoid falling for these scams by using legitimate sources and exercising caution when accepting unexpected invitations.
