8 Then the king of Syria warred against Israel, and took counsel with his servants, saying, In such and such a place shall be my camp.
9 And the man of God sent unto the king of Israel, saying, Beware that thou pass not such a place; for thither the Syrians are come down.
10 And the king of Israel sent to the place which the man of God told him and warned him of, and saved himself there, not once nor twice.
11 Therefore the heart of the king of Syria was sore troubled for this thing; and he called his servants, and said unto them, Will ye not shew me which of us is for the king of Israel?
12 And one of his servants said, None, my lord, O king: but Elisha, the prophet that is in Israel, telleth the king of Israel the words that thou speakest in thy bedchamber.
13 And he said, Go and spy where he is, that I may send and fetch him. And it was told him, saying, Behold, he is in Dothan.
14 Therefore sent he thither horses, and chariots, and a great host: and they came by night, and compassed the city about.
15 And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do?
16 And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them.
17 And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.

MFM Devotional For Today 2023 MESSAGE:
It is a pity that many believers, who claim to be children of God are in fact, spiritually blind. Spiritual blindness in simple terms is when a person cannot see beyond his nose. There is more to the physical world than meets the eye. It takes only the spiritually alert to discern what is actually going on. A man may appear to be walking normally but spiritually, he could be walking with his head down. As a man young man, in the church where I used to attend with my family, I had an encounter that taught me a big lesson. One day, during a church service, a certain woman walked in and to me and most of the people around, she walked in normally with her two legs. However, to our greatest surprise, I heard our pastor rebuke her, saying, “Why do you come into the church with your head upside down. Adjust yourself and never try such again!” The woman promptly apologised and took her seat. It was a shocking experience because as far as I was concerned, the woman appeared normal but in the real sense of it, she was not. But it took the eyes that were spiritually open to see it.
Many people today are in trouble because they ate what they should not eat and where they should not eat. Some have made friends with their enemies thinking they were friends because they were spiritually blind. Many too have ended up with the wrong spouses and are wasted or about to be destroyed just because they were only able to see the surface and not what is beneath. Beloved, there is no price too much to pay to ensure that your spiritual eyes are opened. The devil cannot beguile you when your spiritual eyes are open.
PRAYER POINTS:
MORNING
- O Lord, open my eyes to behold wondrous things out of Your law, in the name of Jesus.
- I reject spiritual blindness, in the name of Jesus.
- I shall not be disappointed in life, in the name of Jesus.
