TOPIC: Focus – A Key To A Disaster-Free Existence (Seeds Of Destiny 15 July 2023)
SCRIPTURE: Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: When there is no focus, disaster is inevitable.
Seeds Of Destiny For Today 2023 MESSAGE:
In October 1988, God delivered and preserved me from a car crash.
The driver of the vehicle I boarded overtook another driver who was also on high speed. Both drivers were overtaking each other in turns until the two vehicles came to a bend and could not overtake each other again anymore and that resulted in a fatal crash.
You see, the drivers were trying to demonstrate their expertise by overtaking one another when it was not necessary. That was a practical manifestation of foolishness.
Ecclesiastes 7:17 says:
Be not over much wicked, neither be thou foolish: why shouldest thou die before thy time?
When the overtaking became dangerous and the accident occurred, I felt my head touch the ground.
I cannot explain how God delivered me from the crash. I saw myself sitting on the ground and my luggage was beside me. There was the loss of life as a result of that auto crash. What a disaster!
This is what happens when people take their focus away from where they are going. Disaster is inevitable when people lose their focus. When people are engaged in needless competition with each other instead of being focused on their individual assignments, disasters become imminent.
When someone, all of a sudden, begins to challenge you saying, “Who do you think you are? I can do anything you think you can do”. Leave such a person alone and face your life. Let him do what he wants. Face God and He will take you to your destiny.
Whenever you agree to strive, your focus is taken away from where you are meant to be going in life. When you agree to strive, another person becomes your focus. Strife makes another person’s success your focus. When there is no focus, disaster is inevitable. And focus is distracted where strife is established.
Remember this: When there is no focus, disaster is inevitable.
ASSIGNMENTS:
Refuse to lose focus in life.
Avoid all forms of strife.
PRAYER: Father, thank You for showing me the danger of losing focus. I receive the grace to avoid strife and be focused in life, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
