MFM Devotional For Today 2023 MESSAGE:

Yesterday we started looking at 7 financial tips from the Bible and learnt that following the tips diligently will lead to financial breakthroughs.

The fifth tip is that you should make budget (Luke 14:28-30). From the fire scripture, we read that a builder must count the cost of the building before embarking on the project. Failure to do so may result in his inability to meet up or complete the project. So, also for you not to find yourself in a financial mess, you must have a budget for whatever you want to do. Do not go for whatever you did not budget for. Don’t do any expenditure because others are doing it. Make your budget in the order of priority and follow it diligently.

This sixth tip is that you should avoid debt. Proverbs 22:7 says that the rich ruleth over the poor and the borrower is servant to the lender. The Bible warns that you should never take a loan without carefully examining your ability to repay it. A loan you can handle is enabling but the one you cannot is enslaving. The borrower must realise that until the loan is repaid, he is a servant to the lender. Do not initiate those who borrow for wedding or burial ceremonies, and other frivolities. Cut your coat according to your material. A debtor will always live in perpetual fear and this may lead to sickness.

The seventh tip is that you should save for a rainy-day. Proverbs 30:25 says, “The ants are a people not strong yet they prepare their meat in the summer.” Ants teach us about preparation. They get themselves prepared for what they will eat during the period they will not be able to come out. You should learn form this creature. Whatever you are making as an income today, set aside a little part for your tomorrow. A farmer that eats all his seeds during harvest will have nothing to plant during planting season. If you don’t plant anything, you will reap nothing. So beloved, for you to avoid financial embarrassment, plant for your tomorrow. By doing this, you will have financial success.

Follow these seven tips, beloved, and free yourself from the bondage of poverty. God bless you, in the name of Jesus.

PRAYER POINTS:
