TOPIC: Jesus Has Made You Free From Sin (TREM Devotional 9 August 2022)
“For by that one offering, He forever made perfect those who are being made holy” Hebrews 10:14 (NLT)
Wisdom For The Day MESSAGE:
Do you know that as a believer, Christ has made you perfect? You have to believe it and keep saying it to yourself that you are perfect. The book of Hebrews 10: 15-17 tells us, “And the Holy Spirit also testifies that this is so, for He says; this is the new covenant I will make with my people on that day, says the Lord. I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds. I will never again remember their sins and their lawless deeds”.
Did you see that? Why are people always sin-conscious? Why do people talk about sin every moment? You are insulting Jesus when you talk about your sin every moment. Talk about His righteousness which was given to you. It is a gift! Speak about it! When you are awake to your righteousness and His righteousness, you will not be sin-conscious. But when you’re awake to sin; that is having a mentality of sin, you will continue to sin. Develop a mentality that Christ has made you free from sin. That is your heritage.
“And when sins have been forgiven there is no need to offer any more sacrifices. And so dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven’s most holy place because of the blood of Jesus. By his death, Jesus opened a new and life-giving way through the curtain into the most holy place and since we have a great high priest who rules over God’s house, let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts, fully trusting him. For our guilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ’s blood to make us clean and our bodies have been washed with pure water.” (Hebrews 10:18-22 NLT)
Child of God, when you wake up in the morning, just say Father, I give you praise. I am excited because I have been discharged and acquitted; the case is closed, and there is no appeal. God wants you to hold this truth and never let it go.
