FIRE SCRIPTURE: Psalm 139:1-16 (KJV)
1 O LORD, thou hast searched me, and known me.
2 Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off.
3 Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways.
4 For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether.
5 Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me.
6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it.
7 Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?
8 If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.
9 If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;
10 Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.
11 If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me.
12 Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.
13 For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb.
14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
15 My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
16 Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.

The MESSAGE:
As far as the Almighty is concerned, half surrender is unacceptable to Him. God will not accept anything less than absolute surrender as it shall be revealed in today’s devotional study. There is a power known as the strong man. It is the supervising power over stubborn situations.
Many years ago, I used to go and see a man who was blind. I felt very sorry for him and at the same time angry with the devil. I took his case seriously, convinced him to get rid of all charms and amulets. I was going to his house every evening. The man who could not see me whenever I entered his room until I talked, soon began to notice the buttons on my shirt. One day, I got to his house and the situation had become worse. I asked him what was happening and he told me to keep praying for him. Then, I went before the Lord to enquire about his case. I asked the Lord to reveal what was wrong with him to me and the Lord told me to get there at 12 midnight instead of 6:00 p.m.
When I got to him that night, I met a woman on his bed and I asked who she was. She told me that she was the man’s wife. I told her that it was a lie because I knew the man’s wife. The man told the woman not to go out of the room if I asked her to. That woman who was the secret sin of the man and co-promoter of sin was the “strong man” behind his problem. This “strong man” was nullifying my prayer efforts and was being reinforced by the man himself.
Beloved, according to today’s passage, you must allow God’s word to permeate every department of your life. You must surrender all your life to God without holding back from Him. This is the minimum condition for Him to allow Him to open His doors of favours and blessings for you. Do not promote the works of darkness.
PRAYER POINTS:
MORNING
- Every satanic promissory note issued on my behalf by my ancestors, be reversed, in the name of Jesus.
- Garments of opposition designed by ancestral idols, roast, in the name of Jesus.
- My glory buried by family idols, come alive by fire, in the name of Jesus.
EVENING
- Thou power of strange gods legislating against my destiny, scatter, in the name of Jesus.
- Idols of my place of birth, I break your chain, in the name of Jesus.
- Every problem attached to any family name, be neutralised, in the name of Jesus.
- Every power searching the oracle to know my progress, die, in the name of Jesus.

1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
