TechGirls Exchange Programme for Women in STEM, USA (Fully Funded) – 2024
For the TechGirls Programme for women in 2024, applications from candidates who meet the necessary qualifications are requested. a program for those who want to improve their technological proficiency by taking part in an engaging technology and computer camp in the US.
By giving them access to resources and chances to pursue their goals, TechGirls links and supports the subsequent generation of female leaders in the STEM fields.
About the Women’s TechGirls Program 2024
Along with 40 hours of study at a Tech Camp with our partner, the Center for Enhancement in Engineering Diversity at Virginia Tech, TechGirls is jam-packed with interactions with America’s most innovative tech professionals and skill-development workshops. The TechGirls program gives participants a rich opportunity for cultural immersion, enhances their capacity to enter the IT industry, and motivates them to seek higher study in disciplines where women are underrepresented.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants need to fulfill the following criteria in order to be selected for the TechGirls Programme 2024:
- Are residents of and citizens of one of the eligible nations or territories at the time of exchange.
- Born on or between July 13, 2006, and July 13, 2009, and who, at the beginning of the exchange, will be between the ages of 15 and 17;
- Have shown in their academic work that they possess superior abilities and a keen interest in math, science, technology, and/or engineering;
- Intend to pursue a career in STEM, particularly technology, or higher education;
- Possess advanced or intermediate English language proficiency;
- Show maturity, adaptability, and an open mind;
- Will continue their secondary education for at least one more semester when they return to their native country;
are dedicated to finishing a project for the community when they get home; and - Satisfy the requirements for U.S. J-1 visa eligibility (for example, U.S. citizens are not eligible for J-1 visa).
- Candidates must be current residents of participating nations and be citizens of those nations. Foreign nationals should get in touch with us to find out if they qualify before applying if they want to stay permanently in a country that qualifies.
- Those with little to no prior experience in the United States will be given preference.
