The UNESCO Young Professionals Programme (YPP) application period for 2023 is currently open. Candidates who are interested and qualified are thus asked to apply and participate in the recruiting campaign designed to increase geographic representation and advance gender equity in the organization on a global scale.
Through this program, young professionals and talented university graduates from non- and under-represented Member States can join UNESCO at an early stage of their professional careers.

UNESCO’s Young Professionals Program Eligibility Requirements for 2023
The following prerequisites must be satisfied in order for applicants to the UNESCO Young Professionals Programme (YPP) in 2023 to be given consideration:
- Nationality: Applicants must be citizens of unrepresented or underrepresented UNESCO member states.
Age: 32 years or less, inclusive. - Education: a graduate degree from a four-year college or university in communication, education, culture, science, or a subject area connected to the management and administration of an international organization. This information will be included in the job posting.
- Fluency in French or English: An advantage would be to know both working languages. It is also advantageous to know Spanish, Russian, Arabic, or Chinese.
- Prior experience: While not required, prior professional experience is a plus.

How to Apply: Please get in touch with your National Commission or Permanent Delegation if you’re interested in applying for the Young Professional Program or want to find out if you qualify.
Candidates submit their applications to their nation’s National Commission or Permanent Delegation. After reviewing each application, National Commissions and Permanent Delegations send a list of potential hires to UNESCO’s Bureau of Human Resources Management.
