How to Apply for Thomas Jefferson Scholarship Program (TJSP), USA – 2024/25
The Thomas Jefferson Scholarship Program (TJSP), which aims to give full-time undergraduate students from Tunisia the opportunity to spend one academic year studying non-degree subjects in a U.S. university or college, is currently accepting applications for the 2024–2025 academic year.
The Thomas Jefferson Scholarship Program (TJSP) provides young people with the necessary skills to support economic growth, stability, and democratic progress in Tunisia through academic opportunity, professional participation, and leadership development.

The following criteria apply to the Thomas Jefferson Scholarship Program (TJSP) for 2023–2024:
Applicants should be aware that the 2023–2024 Thomas Jefferson Scholarship Program (TJSP) is merit-based and available to anybody who:
- Is a citizen of Tunisia, resides there at the moment,
- Is enrolled full-time as an undergraduate student at a recognized academic institution in Tunisia in good standing at the time of application
- At that time, they are NOT in their final year of an undergraduate program.
- Engineering students can apply in their first or second year of preparation classes, as well as their third and fourth year of undergraduate study, provided they meet the following requirements:
- They can obtain a J-1 visa for the United States; they must be at least eighteen years old by July 1, 2024
- They must be committed to returning to Tunisia upon program completion
- They must be able to obtain a TOEFL score of at least 500
- They must have finished their previous academic year in good standing with a passing average (also known as moyenne générale).

Candidates must complete the application in its entirety and supply the contact details of two references. References 1 and 2 have to be filled out by two distinct people who are qualified to comment on your eligibility for a scholarship.
