The Canadian Francophonie Scholarship Program (CFSP) is a fully funded initiative sponsored by the Government of Canada. It is specifically designed to strengthen the institutional capacity of developing Francophone countries by training key personnel in academic, technical, and professional fields.
Since January 1, 2015, the program has been jointly managed by the Canadian Bureau for International Education (CBIE) and the World University Service of Canada (WUSC).
The long-term goal of the CFSP is to contribute to the sustainable development of Francophone countries by prioritizing:
Capacity building of university and college faculty in education and research.
Development of trainers in technical and vocational education sectors.
Enhancement of specialist and managerial competencies in both public and private sectors.

Recipients of the Canadian Francophonie Scholarship Program (CFSP) will receive:

To be eligible for CFSP 2026, applicants must meet the following requirements:
French proficiency is mandatory (as the program is conducted in French).

Applicants must be nominated through an internal selection process conducted by the public institution in their home country.
Candidates must demonstrate potential to strengthen institutional capacity upon returning to their home country.
Clinical programs in medicine, dentistry, and pharmacy are not eligible under this scholarship.
Selection is carried out via a quota system, which allows each eligible country to prioritize training needs based on their development goals.
