ICT Fund BETHA Program for Emirati Students – 2026

The ICT Fund BETHA Program 2026 is now accepting applications from Emirati students aiming to pursue undergraduate or master’s degrees in the field of Information and Communication Technology (ICT). This initiative supports the UAE’s vision of building a technologically advanced nation by empowering the next generation of Emirati leaders in science and innovation.

Managed by the ICT Fund, the BETHA program offers financial assistance for studies in leading universities across the UAE, USA, Australia, and Japan. With a strong emphasis on telecommunications and IT-related fields, the program has already enabled hundreds of Emirati students to pursue academic excellence globally.

Program Overview

  • Level of Study: Undergraduate (Bachelor’s) and Postgraduate (Master’s)

  • Host Institutions: Accredited universities in the UAE, USA, Australia, and Japan

  • Duration:

    • Undergraduate: Up to 4 years

    • Master’s: Up to 2 years

  • Fields of Study: Telecommunications, Information Technology, and related areas

  • Application Status: Open now (No specific deadline)

Scholarship Coverage

The BETHA Program offers fully or partially funded scholarships, depending on the applicant’s qualifications and institutional arrangements. The coverage may include:

  • Tuition fees

  • Educational expenses

  • (For eligible students) Monthly stipend for living costs

  • Other academic support as determined by the ICT Fund

Eligibility Criteria

For Undergraduate (Bachelor’s) Applicants:

  • Must be a UAE citizen and provide the civil registry as proof

  • Must have a minimum score of 75% in the secondary school certificate (or equivalent)

  • Must apply for a degree in telecommunications or information technology

  • Must have graduated within the last three years

  • Must not be employed

  • Must not be receiving any other scholarships or financial aid

For Postgraduate (Master’s) Applicants:

  • Must be a UAE citizen with civil registry proof

  • Must apply for a Master’s degree in telecommunications or information technology

  • Must have achieved a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 in their Bachelor’s degree

  • Must not have received prior scholarships or financial assistance from other institutions

  • Employed students are eligible, but will not receive a monthly stipend

Required Documents

Applicants must prepare clear, official copies of the following:

  • Unconditional admission/acceptance letter from the university (conditional letters will not be accepted)

  • Certified high school certificate (for undergraduates) verified by the Ministry of Education or equivalent

  • Official transcript (for students continuing undergraduate studies) with university stamp and registrar’s signature

  • Family book (all pages without exception)

  • Official IBAN letter from the bank with stamp and signature

  • Application is only valid for students who have not yet enrolled or started their university program
