How to Apply for 2024 Postgraduate Scholarships at Cambridge University

Using the University of Cambridge’s graduate application portal, candidates will first submit their applications in a combined application form for admission and funding (Gates Cambridge and other grants).

Application Conditions

The following documents must be submitted in order to be considered for a Gates Cambridge Scholarship:

• Gates Cambridge Statement: A three-hundred-character (about five-word) statement outlining your need for the scholarship
• Research Proposal: Only candidates pursuing a PhD will be eligible to apply; your grant application must include a research plan.
• Gates Cambridge Reference: Gates Applications to Cambridge must include three references, of which two must be academic recommendations and the third can come from anybody who is prepared to attest to the applicant’s suitability for the scholarship.
