Young leaders from Sub-Saharan Africa who meet the required qualifications are invited to apply for the McGill University Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program, which will offer them full-scale educational support.
The Scholars Program works to encourage young leaders from Sub-Saharan Africa who have the academic potential to enroll in top-tier universities and receive the extensive support they need to succeed.

Eligibility Requirements
The following requirements must be satisfied by applicants in order for their applications to be evaluated for the McGill University Mastercard Foundation Scholarship:
Candidates must be eligible to enroll in one of McGill University’s qualifying non-thesis programs.
Candidates must not have started or finished any graduate courses;
Be a resident of and a citizen of a Sub-Saharan African nation (see the list of participating nations);
Obtain a study permit and be eligible to enter Canada as an international student with a valid passport. Not eligible are people who have dual citizenship, asylee, refugee, or permanent resident status in the US, Canada, UK, or EU.
Possess a stellar history of involvement in your neighborhood or school;
Possess the intention to return home as soon as you have earned your degree in order to improve your town through social and economic growth;
Must be younger than 35 years old while applying.
Application Methods
How to Apply: Interested candidates must first submit an application for admission to a McGill University program that is approved for the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program. After requesting admission, applicants can continue by submitting an online application for the Mastercard Scholarship.
