As part of its commitment to diversity and inclusion through the Global Social Justice Fund, Sony Music Group, in collaboration with the Institute of International Education (IIE), is proud to offer the Sony Music Group Global Scholarship Program 2025. This initiative is designed to support the educational advancement of talented, underrepresented students worldwide who aspire to build careers in the music and music business sectors.

Study Mode: Full-time enrollment at an accredited college or university (3โ4-year undergraduate programs)

Scholarship Sponsor: Sony Music Group

Awarded students will receive:
Scholarship value between $3,000 and $20,000 USD per academic year
(Amount determined based on financial need, tuition fees, and institution type โ public/private, location, etc.)
Funding to support required tuition and mandatory academic fees
Additional career-building opportunities, including:
Industry mentorships
Invitations to webinars and enrichment events
Potential unpaid internships with Sony Music Group
Inclusion in a global network of Sony Music Group Scholars with ongoing engagement opportunities
๐ Note: The scholarship is not intended to cover full costs. Recipients must secure additional funds to cover books, housing, transportation, and other personal expenses.
Applicants must:
Be planning to enroll full-time in an undergraduate program in music or music business at an accredited university or college in the 2025โ2026 academic year
Demonstrate academic excellence, with a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 U.S. scale (or equivalent)
Show clear financial need
Exhibit potential to succeed in their chosen music-related field
Display a strong passion for a career in the music industry
Not necessarily be admitted at the time of application, but must submit proof of enrollment before scholarship disbursement
Applicants will be assessed based on:
Academic performance and consistency
Achievement and potential in music or related disciplines
Demonstrated leadership ability and commitment to personal growth
Clear and compelling career goals in the music industry
Quality of personal statement
Strength of reference letters
Genuine financial need as assessed by IIE
All application materials must be submitted in English by the deadline and include:

๐ฐ Estimated cost of attendance for the 2025โ2026 academic year (tuition and mandatory fees only)
๐ Two letters of recommendation
From non-family members who know you well (e.g., teacher, professor, employer, club advisor)
๐ซ Official high school transcript or grade report
UK/Commonwealth students may submit A-levels, O-levels, GCSE, or BTEC results
โImportant: Only complete applications submitted by the deadline will be reviewed.
Applications containing plagiarism or false information will be automatically disqualified.
All applicants will be informed of their selection status by late September 2025
Selected candidates must provide proof of full-time enrollment
U.S.-based recipients must also submit their official financial aid package to determine award value
If proof of enrollment is not provided by the specified date, the award will be rescinded and given to an alternate candidate
