The Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS) and the Queen Elizabeth II Graduate Scholarship in Science and Technology (QEII-GSST) aim to promote excellence in graduate education in Ontario.
These programs are co-funded by the Ontario government (two-thirds) and participating universities (one-third), and are offered across all disciplines of academic study.
To be eligible for the 2025/2026 OGS:
You must be enrolled (or planning to enroll) in a full-time graduate program (Master’s or PhD) at an eligible Ontario university.
Your program must span at least two academic terms (21–52 weeks).
You must apply through a participating Ontario university.
You must meet the academic and merit-based standards defined by the university to which you are applying.
Note: OGS is a highly competitive scholarship. Selection is based on academic excellence, research potential, and communication skills, assessed through the application review process at each university.

Scholarships are awarded for:
A minimum of 1 academic year (2–3 consecutive terms)
A maximum of 2 academic years (up to 6 terms)
