The Netherlands Government NL Scholarship (also known as the Holland Scholarship) offers a €5,000 grant to talented international students from non-EEA countries who are applying to full-time bachelor’s or master’s degree programs at participating Dutch universities.
Funded by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science in partnership with several Dutch research universities and universities of applied sciences, this scholarship is designed to ease your transition into studying in the Netherlands.

To be considered for the 2026 NL Scholarship, you must:
Hold a nationality from a non-EEA country.
Apply for a full-time bachelor’s or master’s program at one of the participating Dutch higher education institutions.
Meet the specific admission requirements of the institution you are applying to.
Not already hold a degree from a Dutch higher education institution.
All activities under the Holland Scholarship are guided by Nuffic’s Code of Conduct for integrity, professionalism, and ethical responsibility. The program does not support candidates or institutions involved in:
Financial or organizational misconduct
Criminal activity, terrorism, or money laundering
Creation or use of shell companies
Bankruptcy or insolvency cases
Violations of tax or social obligations
