The National Chiao Tung University (NCTU) International Scholarships for the academic year 2026–2027 are fully funded opportunities designed for international students pursuing undergraduate, master’s, or doctoral programs in Taiwan.
These scholarships aim to attract outstanding global talent and support students with strong academic and research backgrounds. The awards are funded by both the university and Taiwan’s Ministry of Education to promote internationalization and academic excellence.

The NCTU International Scholarship offers recipients the following financial support:
Undergraduate Students:
Up to NT$21,000/month stipend and/or tuition waiver
Master’s Students:
Up to NT$25,000/month stipend and/or tuition waiver
Doctoral Students:
Up to NT$30,000/month stipend and/or tuition waiver
Scholarships are awarded for one academic year initially and are renewable based on academic performance and research achievements.
Fall Semester: January 15 – March 15
Spring Semester: July 15 – September 15

To qualify for the NCTU International Scholarship, applicants must:
Be non-Taiwanese international students
Meet language proficiency requirements (English)
Hold a bachelor’s degree when applying for a master’s program (minimum 16 years of education)
Hold a master’s degree when applying for a PhD program (minimum 18 years of education)
Demonstrate strong academic performance
Exhibit a keen interest in research and study in Taiwan
Be active in extracurriculars, community service, or leadership (preferred)
