The Nashville Vanderbilt Scholars Program is a new partnership between Vanderbilt University and Metro Nashville Public Schools (MNPS) designed to expand college access and success for outstanding MNPS graduates. Launching with the Fall 2025 entering class, the program provides full financial support to cover required direct costs, ensuring talented local students have the opportunity to pursue a world-class education at Vanderbilt.
Through this initiative, Vanderbilt is committed to increasing the number of MNPS graduates who enroll at the university and to working closely with MNPS counselors, teachers, and administrators to prepare students for success at selective institutions nationwide.

One-Time Summer Stipend of $6,000 after the second or third year to support summer internships or experiential learning opportunities.
Applicants must:
Graduate from a Metro Nashville Public Schools (MNPS) high school.
Qualify for a Federal Pell Grant or have a parental income of $100,000 or less.
Apply to Vanderbilt under the Early Decision I (by Nov. 1) or Early Decision II (by Jan. 1) plan.
Submit applications for need-based financial aid through both the College Board Financial Aid Profile and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen (including DACA and undocumented students).
Apply to Vanderbilt through Early Decision I (by Nov. 1, 2025) or Early Decision II (by Jan. 1, 2026).
Complete need-based financial aid applications through the College Board Profile and FAFSA.
Eligible students who meet these requirements will be automatically considered for the Nashville Vanderbilt Scholars Program — no separate scholarship application required.
