The Moffat Scholarship 2025, funded by the Moffat Charitable Trust, provides significant financial support to students pursuing degrees in tourism, travel, and events management at Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU). Over the past two decades, more than £1 million has been awarded to deserving GCU students, supporting their academic and career ambitions in the global tourism industry.
Scholarship support is available to students enrolled in or accepted to the following tourism-focused programs:
BA (Hons) International Tourism and Events Management
MSc International Tourism and Events Management
PhD programs related to tourism or events management
Funding amounts vary by level of study and may go toward tuition fees or living expenses:
Undergraduate: Up to £3,700 (paid in two instalments)
Postgraduate (Master’s): Up to £2,600 (paid in three instalments)
PhD Students: Custom funding available upon application
To apply, candidates must:
Hold a conditional or unconditional offer to study an eligible program at GCU
or
Be a current student in one of the eligible courses
Nationality: Open to all nationalities, though preference may be given to Scottish applicants.
