The Meta Fellowship Program 2026-2027 is a fully funded scholarship open to doctoral students worldwide. Designed to support promising scholars in cutting-edge areas of computer science, engineering, and related fields, this two-year fellowship includes:
Full tuition and academic fees (for up to four semesters)
Annual stipend
Conference travel support
Invitation to the exclusive Meta Fellowship Summit at company headquarters
Fellows will be selected based on the strength of their research proposal, academic record, publications, and letters of recommendation.

The Meta PhD Fellowship offers the following support:
$42,000 annual stipend (paid directly to the student)
Full payment of tuition and fees (paid directly to the university)
Up to $5,000 in travel support for academic conferences
Invitation to the Meta Fellowship Summit, held at company headquarters
Note: The stipend is taxable according to local laws.
To qualify, applicants must:
Be full-time PhD students currently enrolled at an accredited university anywhere in the world
Be conducting research relevant to one or more of the listed focus areas
Be enrolled during the academic years the fellowship is awarded (2026–2028)
Submit a strong research proposal, with demonstrable academic achievement
Be proficient in English
Emerging Scholar Award Option:
First- or second-year PhD students from historically underrepresented groups in tech (e.g., women, Black, Latinx, Indigenous, persons with disabilities) may also opt to be considered for the Emerging Scholar Award, a specialized form of the fellowship.
