There is some good news for MTN Nigeria customers who have had trouble with the Apple Music subscription payment process.
Now that Apple Music and MTN, a major South African telecom provider, have partnered, users may pay for their music subscription on the streaming platform with ease via USSD or SMS from their Android or iOS devices, doing away with the need for debit/credit cards, GPay, or Apple Pay.

Furthermore, you are eligible for a complimentary 6-month streaming service before being charged ₦1000 per month for Apple Music. This amount will be deducted from your airtime until you decide to terminate your subscription.

- Via USSD: Dial *447# > Select New services > Select 4 Apple Music > Select 1 for free and 2 for paid
- Via SMS: Send “Music” for a monthly subscription to 8000
After your membership is approved, you’ll get an acceptance message with a download link for the Apple Music app for your Android or iOS device.
Apple Music subscriptions are also available via the MyMTN app and the MTN Play portal.
