Would you like a scholarship to study in the Netherlands? Then submit an application for the 2024 Utrecht Excellence Scholarships, which are available to foreign students who want to pursue postgraduate studies at Utrecht University in the Netherlands and have an excellent academic record.

Depending on the field of study, the scholarship is given for the length of the degree program, which is either one or two years. If the student demonstrates satisfactory academic performance and progress toward the degree, it can only be renewed for the second year.

Scholarships for Excellence in Utrecht 2024 | Qualifications

To apply for this scholarship, the applicant must meet the following eligibility standards;

• You have to be in the top ten percentile of your graduating class.
• In addition to being ineligible for funding through the Dutch study grant and loan system, you must not possess an EU or EEA passport.
• You have to have finished your bachelor’s degree or secondary education abroad of the Netherlands.
• It is required that you have applied to an overseas master’s program with a September 1, 2024, start date.

Selection Standards

Academic distinction and potential in the suggested topic of study;

the caliber of academic work and outcomes of prior credentials, as demonstrated by letters of reference, grades, test scores, a writing sample, and documentation demonstrating enrollment in the top 10% of the class;

The standard of the application for the Master’s program itself (completeness, accuracy, consistency); The quality and applicability of the motivation letter for the Master’s program (academic content, intercultural and communication skills, personal motivation).

Procedures for Applications

How to Apply: Before the deadline, non-EU/EEA students may apply for one Utrecht Excellence Scholarship starting on November 1, 2023. This scholarship requires that you submit an application, or applications, for a Master’s program that qualifies for UES.

• The UES application(s) will be visible on the dashboard of your OSIRIS Online Application account.
• To examine or amend the UES connected procedure for the program you want to apply to, click on it.
• Complete the application by answering the questions, uploading the required documentation attesting to your rank in the top 10% of your class.

Required Documents:

• Evidence showing you are among the top 10% of your class, as demonstrated by an official document that will serve as proof of graduation.
• such as a class ranking certificate, a reference letter, a statement signed and sealed by your school, etc.
