- The Department of State will randomly choose applicants from among qualified entries according to the distribution of visas available in each region and nation.
- To determine whether their entry has been chosen for the program, all diversity visa lottery (DV-2025) applicants must visit the Entrant Status Check using the special confirmation number saved from their online entry registration.
- If your entry is chosen, you will be taken to a confirmation page with additional instructions and details on the costs associated with migrating to the US.
- The Department of State will only be able to notify candidates of their selection for DV-2025 via Entrant Status Check.
- The Department of State won’t email or mail selection notices to recipients. A list of the chosen candidates won’t be given by American embassies or consulates.
- Only the Entrant Status Check on the E-DV website will be used to notify those who were not chosen. It is highly recommended that you use Entrant Status Check on your own.
- Do not rely on another person to inform and check for you.

More Information Regarding US Diversity Visa Lottery 2025
In order to enter a new country;
- DV selections must be eligible for entry into the US.
- You must submit the DS-260, Online Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration Application, online, and the consular officer will interview you in person to determine if you are eligible to immigrate to the United States in accordance with U.S. law.
- After this date, the Department of State is not permitted to grant DVs, USCIS is not permitted to approve modifications, and family members are not permitted to receive DVs to follow-to-join the lead applicant in the United States.
