How to Apply for 2024 Postgraduate Scholarships at Cambridge University
Using the University of Cambridge’s graduate application portal, candidates will first submit their applications in a combined application form for admission and funding (Gates Cambridge and other grants).
How to Apply for Admission
Selecting a graduate course and applying for a study space at any college of your choice are required in this step, along with supplying “all of the usual details about yourself, your academic background, plans, and suitability for the proposed course.”

“Apply for a range of funding offered by the University and associated bodies, including the Gates Cambridge Scholarships, which has its own sub-section,” is what this section asks of you.
Application Conditions
The following documents must be submitted in order to be considered for a Gates Cambridge Scholarship:
- Gates Cambridge Statement: A three-hundred-character (about five-word) statement outlining your need for the scholarship
- Research Proposal: Only candidates pursuing a PhD will be eligible to apply; your grant application must include a research plan.
- Gates Cambridge Reference: Gates Applications to Cambridge must include three references, of which two must be academic recommendations and the third can come from anybody who is prepared to attest to the applicant’s suitability for the scholarship.

Applications for the University of Cambridge Postgraduate Scholarships 2024 are open to students of any country. Nevertheless, the scholarships are given out “based on the following criteria: leadership ability, justification for the course choice, intellectual ability, and a commitment to improving the lives of others.”
