How to Apply | Cambridge Trust Scholarships for International Students – 2024/25
The University of Cambridge has opened the application window for all scholarships that require you to submit your application to the university using the standard online application form, as well as for the majority of scholarships that have a deadline.
Guidelines for eligibility for scholarships offered by the Cambridge Commonwealth, European and International Trust are as follows:
- No matter their nationality, all students may be given consideration for funding by the Trust.
- Except for students who are requesting financing for a higher degree program after graduation, the Trust does not accept applications from students who are only partially through a programme at Cambridge.
- Check out the material on the University’s undergraduate and graduate student web pages to learn more about your fee status.
- The applicant must intend to enroll in an undergraduate program (excluding those in the UK or the EU), a master’s program (such as an MPhil, MASt, or LLM), or a research postgraduate program (such as a PhD).

Important Reminders
- Please be aware that the Trust has many more scholarship programs available to postgraduate students than it does to undergraduate students. Students pursuing master’s or doctoral degrees receive about 85% of all scholarships each year.
- With two exceptions, the Trust will consider applications from students who must complete a second Masters degree at Cambridge in order to be admitted to the PhD program there or from international (non-EU) students who want to study as affiliated students at Cambridge for a second BA degree. Normally, the Trust will not support students at a degree level that is the same as, or lower than, a degree they already hold.
- The Trust does not offer any scholarships for post-doctoral work or for exchange or visiting students.
- Part-time postgraduate degrees are not eligible for scholarships from the Trust, and the University of Cambridge does not provide part-time undergraduate programs.
