For the fully funded Obama Foundation Scholars Program 2024–2025, which offers study in the USA, the application portal is now open. Details of the Obama Foundation Scholars Program for 2024–2025
Through the Obama Foundation Scholars Program, up-and-coming global leaders who have shown a dedication to resolving issues in their communities, nations, and regions are brought together. The Obama Foundation Scholars will have the chance to expand their knowledge and abilities throughout the course of an academic year, as well as to create new networks and capabilities that will hasten their influence back home.
Qualifiability Standards
Columbia University’s Obama Foundation Scholars Program seeks for emerging leaders worldwide who fulfill the following requirements:
- Possess a track record of leadership and service in a community, region, or nation outside of the United States, as well as a commitment to return to these communities after the program is over and use their newly acquired knowledge, abilities, and contacts there in the long run for the betterment of these communities.
- Are up-and-coming leaders who have reached a “tipping point” in their careers and made significant contributions to their field?
- Possess the capacity and desire to influence their community’s future in a favorable way
- Possess a track record of upholding the values of fearlessness, creativity, stewardship, humility, integrity, and inclusivity.
- Possess fluency in spoken, written, and listener English
Scholarship Advantages
The following advantages are available to scholars in the Obama Foundation Scholars Program:
- Stipend per month to help with living costs in New York City.
- A fully equipped studio apartment close to Columbia University accessible by foot
- Whole cost of tuition and fees for a maximum of four Columbia University courses
- For the length of the program, basic health, dental, and life insurance will be provided in New York City.
- Travel by air to and from the country of origin and any program-related events
Procedures for Applications
How to Apply: Candidates must fill out the online application and send in the required documents in order to be considered for the Obama Foundation Scholars Program 2024–2025.
- Curriculum vitae/resume: The curriculum vitae/resume should include a chronological summary of your work and school experiences as well as any noteworthy accomplishments, such as honors, publications, or other distinctions.
- Personal video statement: The candidate should introduce themselves and their work to the selection committee in a brief video—no more than five minutes—in the personal video statement.
