- Under the Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters Degrees (EMJMD) activity, students who have previously received an Erasmus Mundus Master/Doctoral Course scholarship or who are former recipients of such a scholarship are not eligible for another award. Scholarship recipients for the EMJMD are not eligible to receive funding from another EU program while they are enrolled in EMJMD courses.
- This is a list of nations whose citizens are qualified for scholarships. There is a distinction made between students from partner countries and those from program countries. The maximum percentage of scholarships that can be given to students from program countries is 25%.
- Scholarship recipients from Partner Countries are not eligible to receive the monthly subsistence stipend for EMJMD periods longer than three months (or the equivalent of fifteen ECTS credits) spent in any Partner Country.
- Under the 12-month rule, students from partner countries who have completed their primary activity (work, studies, etc.) in any of the program countries (EU + Turkey, Macedonia, Norway, Lichtenstein, Iceland) for more than a total of 12 months over the previous five years will be considered applicants from program countries.
- Student candidates may submit applications for up to three distinct combined programs funded by Erasmus Mundus scholarships during any given academic year.
- All applications must be submitted completely and on time in order to be taken into consideration.
