- The applicant must have completed an undergraduate program leading to a 2:1 honors degree, or upper second class in the UK.
- The applicant received an unconditional letter of acceptance for one of the three university courses for which they had applied.
- The applicant must have either two years of work experience or 2800 hours of work experience.
- Unless they are citizens of a British overseas territory and are applying from Hong Kong, applicants who are of British nationality or who hold dual British citizenship are not eligible to apply.
- Candidates who have refugee status in a nation other than Chevening are ineligible. Only those applicants for refugee status who are in Chevening member countries are eligible.
- Applicants who work for Her Majesty’s Government, the Association of Commonwealth Universities, or are related to current or former employees of Her Majesty’s Government are not eligible to apply.
- Employees, former employees, and relatives of employees of Chevening partner organizations are eligible to apply, but they are not eligible to receive a Chevening partner award from the organization where they or their relatives currently work.
- The applicant who is currently living in the UK on funding from the UK government is ineligible to apply.
What is the Chevening Scholarship 2023 Application Process?
- The applicant must use the online application system (OAS) to submit their application.
- It is advised for applicants to use a laptop or PC and Google Chrome to submit their applications rather than a phone or tablet.
- The applicant must have applied for three different courses in the UK’s universities because, for the Chevening scholarship in the United Kingdom, an unconditional offer letter for any one course is required.
- In order to apply successfully the size and format of the files just need the requirements that the documents must be in JPG, PNG, or PDF form and not larger than 5MB.

- The application must be submitted in English.
