TOPIC: In Christ: God’s Love Is On Display (TREM Devotional 3 April 2022)

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 (KJV)

An important phrase in our text today is: “whosoever believeth”. Whether white or black, yellow or green is immaterial. Whatever your color or your tribe is, what matters is to believe and receive God’s offer of love. It is your choice! Whosoever believes in him, should not perish, but shall have God’s kind of life. Everlasting life is God’s kind of life. So, it is not you. It is God reaching out to you. In spite of man’s rebellion against God, He still loves the entire world. That is heavy!

“For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die, yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us”. (Romans 5:6-8 KJV). God displayed, released and dispensed His love towards us who were unlovable in Christ. Jesus is the express manifestation of the love of God for sinners. When you receive Christ, you receive His love.

Christ died for us! He showed forth! He decided to fellowship with us. He decided to accept us! He decided to call us in. Others would have rejected us, but God chose to demonstrate His love for us through Christ. “While we were yet sinners…God commended his love towards us.

When you understand this love, what can you fear? What will you be afraid of? Nothing! I believe that one of the things that gave David the boldness to confront Goliath was the understanding that he was God’s beloved. No wonder that in spite of the mistakes he made, God still called him a man after His heart. David was a man who understood how to feed on God’s love. He knew how to feed on the love, on the mercy and on the grace of God. That is how the believer should function.

DAILY CONFESSIONS: APRIL 3RD– APRIL 9TH

I delight myself in the Lord and He gives me the desires of my heart. There is no lack, for my God supplies all of my needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. (PS 37:4, Philippians 4:19)

The Lord has made me a blessing; I am blessed going out and blessed coming in. He will cause the shower to come down in its season. There shall be showers of blessing. The trees of my field will yield their fruit and the earth shall yield her increase. And I shall be safe in the land. I shall lay-up gold as dust and as the stones of the brook. Yea, the Almighty shall be my defense and I shall have plenty of silver (Deuteronomy 28:6, Levi 26:4, Job 22:24-25)

Every day, and in every way, I am getting better: spiritually, physically, financially, mentally, morally, and in all my endeavor.

I am called for a purpose. I will fulfill this purpose and I will arrive at God’s ordained destiny for my life. Nothing will cut me short. I will make a formidable impact in my world for the Kingdom.
