1 Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.
2 Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.
3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.
4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
5 And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.
6 And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.
7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.
8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:
11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

MFM Devotional 1 April 2022 Message:
1 Corinthians 12:1 says, “Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.” Verse 4 adds, “Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.” These passages of the Bible talk about spiritual gifts. If there are spiritual gifts, there must also exist physical gifts or what you may call natural gifts. All these gifts, whether natural or spiritual, are created and given by the Almighty God.
Natural gifts are different from spiritual gifts. God has blessed us with gifts that came naturally with us from our mother’s womb. We were born with them. So, they are part of us to enable us survive and fulfil our destinies on earth. Some of them include writing, researching, networking, innovating, and so on. It is our responsibility to discover and use our natural gifts to serve God and our fellow men. 1 Peter 4:10 says, “As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.”
It is when we get born again and baptised with the Holy Spirit that we can receive the gifts of the Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:1-10). These spiritual gifts help to highlight our natural gifts and make us more useful in the service of the Lord. A man without the Holy Spirit will manifest his natural gifts according to the flesh because they are not evidence of the move of God’s Spirit or His power.
Many people regard the natural abilities of men as the power or move of the Holy Spirit. This is wrong because natural abilities can never empower a man for God’s work. We know that the apostles couldn’t act until they were endued with power from on High (Acts 2). To be effective for God, we need the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
Beloved, I enjoin you to covet the baptism of the Holy Spirit, His fruit and His gifts. As you receive and operate in the gifts of the Holy Spirit, you will reign in life and fulfil your divine purpose, in the name of Jesus.
PRAYER POINTS:
MORNING
Father Lord, baptise me with the gift of the Holy Spirit, in the name of Jesus.
I shall not be an empty and useless Christian, in the name of Jesus.
O Lord, make me a profitable and fruitful servant in Your Kingdom, in the name of Jesus.
EVENING
Let the revival fire of God come upon me now, in the name of Jesus.
Every situation in my life that does not glorify God, change by fire, in the name of Jesus.
Divine intervention, locate me now, in the name of Jesus.
My destiny shall not be wasted, in the name of Jesus.
