If you cannot perceive the possibility mentally, you cannot experience the possibility practically.
SCRIPTURE: Then said Jesus unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe. John 4:48.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: If you cannot perceive the possibility mentally, you cannot experience the possibility practically.
It has been established that God communicates His Word through pictures. God does not only speak but shows pictures from Scriptures to strengthen our faith in Him. In Genesis 13:14-16, God was showing Abraham the picture of the Promised Land. So, seeing pictures out of Scriptures strengthens faith.
Now, what is the power of picture?
i. You can’t doubt it if you can see it.
No one doubts what he sees. If it is clear in the mind, it is cleared for life. It is only difficult to believe if your mind can’t comprehend or grasp it. If it is not real in the mind, it can never be real to life. If you cannot perceive the possibility mentally, you cannot experience the possibility practically.
John 4:48 says, Then said Jesus unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe.
So, when people see things, they believe. Whether you saw it with the physical eye, the eyes of the Spirit or the eyes of the mind, it is easy to believe it if it can be seen or pictured.
ii. Pictures are the language of the Spirit.
When the Holy Ghost wants to talk to you, most times, He gives you pictures.
Joel 2:28 says,
And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:
So, to communicate it effectively in the Spirit, you communicate in pictures.
Remember this: If you cannot perceive the possibility mentally, you cannot experience the possibility practically.
ASSIGNMENTS:
Conceive mental pictures of Scriptures.
Believe and put to work the pictures you see from Scriptures.
PRAYER: Lord, give me mental pictures from the Scriptures. I receive the discipline and grace to be diligent in studying the Scripture, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
