The fear of the Lord is the trigger of wisdom.
SCRIPTURE: Counsel in the heart of man is like deep water; but a man of understanding will draw it out. Proverbs 20:5.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The fear of the Lord is the trigger of wisdom.
Wisdom is critical to living a profitable life and destiny. When wisdom is in place, destiny is view.
Previously, we saw that it was the Mercy of God that brought Joseph out of the prison but it was Wisdom that kept him out of the prison. That is to say, mercy brought him liberty but wisdom made him to remain in liberty.
It is very important to know that many people have been brought out of bondage but they returned into the same bondage due to the shortage of wisdom. They returned into bondage because wisdom was lacking.
Now, what is wisdom? It is insight or light from God. And the beginning of wisdom is the fear of the Lord. The fear of the Lord is the kindergarten school for wisdom. Before you can be admitted into the University of Wisdom, you must pass through the nursery school called the Fear of the Lord. The fear of the Lord is the trigger for wisdom. Wisdom is the bullet while the fear of the Lord is the trigger.
Proverbs 20:5 says: Counsel in the heart of man is like deep water; but a man of understanding will draw it out.
There may be wisdom in the spirit of man but what pulls it out is the trigger called the fear of the Lord. Show me a man who is filled with the fear of the Lord, and I will show you a man who has a continuous flow of wisdom. Where the fear of the Lord stops; there the flow of wisdom stops. So, iniquity is a killer of mentality. Sin ruins sense. Beloved, if it is wisdom you are looking for from God, then the fear of the Lord is your license.
Remember this: The fear of the Lord is the trigger of wisdom.
ASSIGNMENTS:
Make up your mind to exist in wisdom. Avoid every form of folly.
Maintain the reverential fear of the Lord always.
PRAYER: Lord, I refuse to live in foolishness. I receive the grace to reverence You always, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
