Hacksaw Ridge tells the true story of Private Desmond T. Doss (Andrew Garfield).

He won the Congressional Medal of Honor despite the fact that he refused to bear arms during World War II on reasons that were religiously inclined.

Private Doss was disdained and hated by his fellow soldiers for his strange religious position but notwithstanding, he went on to earn respect and adoration for his bravery, selflessness, and compassion after he risked his life to save more than 75 men in the Battle of Okinawa even without a gun nor firing a shot. This is indeed a must watch movies for all.
