I will cry to God Most High, Who performs on my behalf and rewards me [Who brings to pass His purposes for me and surely completes them]! — Psalm 57:2 (AMPC)

Great worship leaders know it’s important to be fully present when they come into the presence of God. Instead of just rolling out of bed, throwing water on their face and running a comb through their hair before church, they intentionally prepare to give Him thanks and praise. They know that the anointing of God comes from a sincere pursuit of loving Him with their whole heart (see Deuteronomy 10:12).

In the same way, as you approach God today, come to Him with a heart full of worship, expressing your awe and gratitude for His faithfulness to you. He’s promised that He’ll never forsake you, and that He’ll be with you all the days of your life (see Joshua 1:5). As you’re intentional to thank Him, you’ll feel His presence and peace in a stronger way than ever before.

Prayer Starter: Father, thank You so much for being faithful to stay with me and take care of me every day. Please help me to keep my focus on Your presence today. In Jesus’ Name, amen.
