Topic: Let Your Moderation Be Known II (Open Heaven 4 February 2020)

Memorise: “And put a knife to thy throat, if thou be a man given to appetite.” – Proverbs 23:2

Read: Proverbs 23:21, Proverbs 25:16 (KJV)

Proverbs 23:21:
21 For the drunkard and the glutton shall come to poverty: and drowsiness shall clothe a man with rags.

Proverbs 25:16:
16 Hast thou found honey? eat so much as is sufficient for thee, lest thou be filled therewith, and vomit it.

Bible in One Year: Exodus 16-18

Open Heaven 4 February 2020 Tuesday MESSAGE:

As much as food is necessary for humans to stay alive, it could also be the cause of untimely death for some. This is primarily because such people have refused to exercise moderation and care in their food intake. Today’s memory verse says you should control your appetite, exercise restraint even if it appears you may die by doing so. Don’t be like Esau who, because of hunger, in Genesis 25:32 claimed:

“…Behold, I am at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me?”

Listen: You will not die by exercising discipline on yourself. It is indiscipline that kills. Sometime ago, some rats were used for an experiment. They were put in two groups “A and B. the ones in the first group “A, were fed very well, thus they grew fresh and robust while the ones in group B were given fewer rations, so they were not as fat as those in the first group. After some time, all the rats were injected with the same measure of a disease. Those in group A died while those in B survived.

The researchers found a strong connection between overfeeding and the failure of the rats in group A to survive the disease. Watch the quantity of food you consume, especially when you are about to go to bed. It may be difficult at the start, but keep at it, your body will adjust.

Avoid junk and genetically modified food. As much as possible, reduce how often you take canned food. In fact, eating too much processed food has been linked with the development of cancer. It is best to eat organic fruits and vegetables as they are healthy. Grow some of your food if you can.

God is interested in your spiritual wellbeing but He is also very interested in your health. That is why He took care of sickness through the stripes on His body (Isaiah 53:5) before His crucifixion for your sins at Calvary. He needs you to take care of your body because the healthier you are, the more effective you will be in His service.

Open Heaven 4 February 2020 Tuesday Key Point:

It is foolish to eat dangerously and expect to live in divine health.

Hymn 27: Take My Life, And Let It Be

1 Take my life and let it be
Consecrated, Lord, to Thee.
Take my moments and my days,
Let them flow in endless praise.

2 Take my hands and let them move
At the impulse of Thy love.
Take my feet and let them be
Swift and beautiful for Thee.

3 Take my voice and let me sing,
Always, only for my King.
Take my lips and let them be
Filled with messages from Thee.

4 Take my silver and my gold,
Not a mite would I withhold.
Take my intellect and use
Every pow’r as Thou shalt choose.

5 Take my will and make it Thine,
It shall be no longer mine.
Take my heart, it is Thine own,
It shall be Thy royal throne.

6 Take my love, my Lord, I pour
At Thy feet its treasure store.
Take myself and I will be
Ever, only, all for Thee.

RCCG FIFTY (5O) DAYS FASTING & PRAYER GUIDE FOR: TUESDAY 4TH OF FEBRUARY, 2020

DAY 25: HARVEST OF GLORY: TEXT: 2Chro. 4:9-10, 2 Tim 4:8, Luke 10:19. Glory is the opposite of shame. This is a season of glory. In 2 Chro. 4:9-10, Jabez prayed his way into glory and there was a turnaround.

  1. Father in the name of Jesus, thank you for the holy ghost power that is manifesting in our time
  2. Father in the name of Jesus, thank you for your mercy that has released harvest of glory
  3. Father in the name of Jesus, the power that crown Joseph with glory and extend it to the children of Israel, appear and restore my glory and make me a deliverer.
  4. By the power in the name of Jesus, every prison where the glory of the children of God have been locked, break and release them in Jesus name. Acts 16:25&26
  5. Father in the name of Jesus, any power that wants to bury the glory of this generation, let them be disgraced in Jesus name.
  6. Father by the call of Joseph, the nation of Israel was established; let your call for my life bring about the harvest of souls.
  7. Father in the name of Jesus lead this generation to their promised land of glory.
  8. Father in the name of Jesus restore the glory of my nation (Put your country) through soul winning.
  9. Every satanic hand manipulating my glory, wither by fire, in Jesus name.
  10. All anti-glory forces lose their hold upon my life in Jesus’ name.
  11. Every power gathered against my glory, wherever you are, whoever you are, perish by the fire of the Holy Ghost in Jesus name.
  12. Anti-shining powers in my environment, be destroyed, in Jesus name.
  13. All the glory that I carry will not turn to shame in Jesus’ name
